Ajax and Torino FC reach agreement on Perr Schuurs

Ajax and Torino FC have reached agreement on the transfer for Perr Schuurs. The defender was still under contract at Ajax until 30 June 2025. Ajax agreed a transfer price of € 9 million with the Italian club. This amount may still increase to € 11.3 million as a result of variables.

Schuurs (Sittard, 26 November 1999) had been under contract at Ajax since January 2018, but only joined the team in Amsterdam in the summer of that year after finishing the season on loan at Fortuna Sittard. On 26 September 2018, the right-footed player made his debut in the Ajax main squad during the cup match HVV Te Werve - Ajax: 0-7. He played a total of 95 official matches in the Ajax first team, in which he scored three goals.  

With Ajax, Schuurs won three Dutch championships and twice won the KNVB Cup. In 2019, he won the Johan Cruijff Shield with Ajax.

Highlights Ajax - FC Groningen l Highlights in the heat

Ajax also won their second league match of the new season on Sunday afternoon. In the Johan Cruijff ArenA, the Ajax players put on a very convincing performance and waltzed past FC Groningen: 6-1. Steven Bergwijn excelled with the first hat-trick of his career.
