Ajax extend Olivier Aertssen contract

Ajax and Olivier Aertssen have agreed on a new contract. The 18-year-old defender's new commitment runs retroactively from 1 January 2023 to 30 June 2025, with an option to extend for another year. His old contract ran until mid-2023.

Born in Veldhoven on 7 August 2004, Aertssen swapped Sparta's youth academy for Ajax's in 2019. On 11 January this year, Aertssen made his first-team debut during the KNVB Cup match FC Den Bosch - Ajax (0-2). So far, this was the youth international's only game in the main squad.

In addition, Aertssen played a total of 27 times for Ajax U23, the selection to which the right winger belongs.
