"It's normal to get tense before a game like that, but you just have to keep doing the right things," he continued. "You have to keep playing football and we didn't do that. It just wasn't the Ajax we know."
Bergwijn thought the level of the match was very mediocre anyway. "I must honestly say it was not the best from both sides. This is not how we want to play football," the winger said. "At the beginning of the season the balls were flying in, but we are just in a lesser phase right now."
Couldn't get the pressure on
Schreuder was also very critical of his team's play. "I didn't think we played a good game. Defensively, we actually had few problems with PSV apart from the first goal, but we were not good enough on the ball. We created too little and couldn't get the pressure on."
