Ajax and Silvano Vos have agreed on a new contract. The new commitment with the 18-year-old midfielder takes effect retroactively on 1 July 2023 and will run to the end of 30 June 2028. Vos's old contract ran until mid-2024.
Vos was born in Amsterdam on 16 March 2005 and went through the youth programme at Ajax. He made his debut with Ajax 1 on 9 April 2023 in the match between Ajax 1 and Fortuna Sittard (4-0). Vos has played three matches for the main squad so far. As of now, Vos will be on the roster for Ajax 1.
Aside from that, last season the youth international played in 31 matches for Ajax U23 in which he scored four goals.
Surrounding the UEFA Youth League match against Sporting CP, we spoke to Sylvano Vos. The seventeen-year-old midfielder has developed himself wonderfully this season and is very ambitious. “I flipped a switch and started working really hard. Things are looking good.”
Ajax trained in fabulous conditions at de Toekomst on Thursday afternoon. There will be one more practice session on Amsterdam soil tomorrow. On Saturday, Ajax will play in the annual gala at and against Anderlecht and on Monday, coach Maurice Steijn's players leave for the training camp in Germany.
With beautiful goals from Mohammed Kudus and Steven Bergwijn, Ajax beat Shakhtar Donetsk on Tuesday afternoon by 3-0. That makes it the first victory of the preseason.
