Ajax have won their final game before the international break. The match against FC Utrecht, a traditionally difficult away game, ended in a 3-0 victory for Ajax. After a scoreless first half, goals by Davy Klaassen, Dusan Tadic (penalty) and Quincy Promes sealed the deal.
Tuesday night saw Ajax earn their first point of the new UEFA Champions League season. They drew 2-2 in their away match at Atalanta. Ajax had a comfortable 2-0 lead at half time thanks to goals from Dusan Tadic (penalty) and Lassina Traoré, but in the opening 15 minutes of the second half Atalanta brought the score back up to 2-2. The last 30 minutes of the match saw no more goals.
