This last-minute win sets up Ajax nicely for Sunday's Klassieker match against Feyenoord, a game which is already shaping up to be a corker. Ajax currently lead the Eredivisie, with Feyenoord trailing by three points in second place.
Trainer Erik ten Hag was enormously proud of Klaas Jan Huntelaar's attacking display against FC Twente. "The finish was outstanding. The experience he has sets an example for a whole generation of players. When he's already got one goal under his belt, he boots it downfield and chases it in search of a second one."
