Ajax are preparing for the approaching Classics. On Sunday, Feyenoord will be the opponent in the city on the river Maas. On Wednesday, Alfred Schreuder's group convened an intensive practice session at de Toekomst. The Ajax team worked up quite a sweat midweek.

All this week, everything is being done in the familiar Ajax environment to make a great apperance in the league clash. In the run-up to the Rotterdam version of the Klassieker, the head coach presented his men primarily with tactical forms of training. Four mini-teams were also formed and completed a tournament.

The satisfaction among the tournament winners will hopefully translate into a positive result in the Eredivisie at the end of the week.

Ajax, Sevilla FC and Lucas Ariel Ocampos have reached an agreement on the return of the player to the Spanish club. The Argentine joined Ajax on a loan base this summer. The loan ran for one season, until June 30, 2023, with an option to purchase. That agreement comes to an early end.
