At sports complex De Toekomst, the Ajax players arrived one day after returning from Athens for the last training session ahead of AZ. The training consisted of an extensive warm-up, a few pass and kicking exercises and multiple mini-games.
The matches have followed each other rapidly over the last few weeks. On Thursday night, Ajax ended their UEFA Europa League match against AEK Athens in a 1-1 draw. AZ will be the opponent on Sunday. The home match will be the last one before the players go on international duty.
