Special | 'Antony & Larissa: from the first hug'

Ever since his time at São Paulo, Ajax striker Antony has had a special bond with Larissa, a ten-year-old girl from Brazil. Ajax invited Larissa to travel to Amsterdam and meet up with Antony, to spend some quality time with him in the Netherlands.

The little girl from Brazil has been suffering from a form of cancer for some time now, and became a great fan of Antony during his time at São Paulo, the club based in the city where she lives. The first time they met was truly special, and led to a close friendship for life. So, whenever he scores, Antony makes an 'L' sign with his fingers, a reference to both his son Lorenzo and Larissa.

Special bond
Larissa visited Amsterdam in April, along with her mother and two sisters. The family watched Ajax v PEC Zwolle (3-0), and also had a tour of the Johan Cruijff ArenA. In this beautiful and emotional special report, the special bond between Antony and Larissa becomes even clearer.
