Benjamin Tahirović is an Ajax player. The midfielder signed his contract, which lasts five seasons, in the Johan Cruijff ArenA on Wednesday. The twenty-year-old controlling midfielder looked happy after finalising his transfer. Tahirović is ambitious and wants to develop himself further, but the born Swedish also can’t wait to shine in front of the Ajax fans.
"This is a very big step in my career, a new club, new teammates, a new language and a new step. But I will get used to it”, Tahirović says in the ArenA. "On the plane to Amsterdam, I was a bit nervous, but I am happy and excited now.”
"I love to play as a six the most. I think that position fits my qualities as a player best. I am good when it comes to the technical aspect, have a good pass and play from ball possession.”

Ajax and AS Roma have reached an agreement on the transfer of Benjamin Tahirović to Ajax. Tahirović was born on March 3, 2003 in Spånga, Sweden. He started his professional career at the Swedish Vasalunds IF before he joined AS Roma in 2021, and is part of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team since March this year.
