Ajax & Ziggo looking for new FIFA-talent
Ajax Esports and Ziggo will be looking for the greatest FIFA talent via the Ziggo eBattle - Ajax Next ePlayer in the coming months. FIFA players from Europe can register on the Ajax Gaming Academy app. The online qualifiers start on Thursday, January 28, 2021.
There will be eight qualifying tournaments spread over a period of fourteen weeks both on PlayStation and Xbox. Six tournaments will be played on PlayStation, one on Xbox and there will be one Wildcard. The eight winners qualify themselves for the (offline) Grand Final, that will be (if possible due to the coronavirus) hosted in Amsterdam.
The winner of the Grand Final will be provided with the ultimate prize, which is a professional contract as an ePlayer at Ajax. The contract includes professional coaching, personal training and a unique shirt number. Last year, the Ziggo eBattle – Ajax Next ePlayer was won by the Dutch player, Tjardo Paliama.
The winner of the Ziggo eBattle – Ajax Next ePlayer 2021 will become the newest addition to the current team of esporters Dani Hagebeuk, Tjardo Paliama and the American Joey Calabro.
